Welcome to NINNIN, the portfolio site of Ramesh Chohan, web designer/developer.

I have developed skills in web design and web development recently. These add to my existing skills in digital art, digital animation, software engineering, engineering technologies and hardware. I have worked on Linux, Unix and Windows platforms as a software engineer in the past.

I can contribute to projects in a variety of ways in web design, development, analysis and administration :

Design is multidisciplinary and Creative

Design involves paying attention to many factors. For web design, these could be text, graphics, sound, animation, optimisation, search engines, usability, accessibility, hardware constraints, software capability.....phew! That sounds like heavy work! But I always try to accomodate as many of these factors as I can; I am used to working in a multi-disciplinary environment. I have multi-disciplinary experiences and training. I am always adding to my knowledge and skill base. Of course, from time to time skills can get rusty because of disuse!

Other designs are also quite hard work. Engineering design could include considerations such as materials choice (e.g. kind of polymer), strength of structures, costs, software tools, environmental factors, ageing effects...list can go on for a bit! Each one of these may also have their own issues requiring attention.

So....design involves a lot and some may argue that not everyone can be satisfied. Does a designer go the extra mile to include as many aspects as possible?

I have either worked or trained in most of the areas mentioned above. Some others I have learnt myself. I have always tried to include important factors in my web, engineering, software or other designs. I have always tried to keep my skills upto date. I am also determined to keep improving my skills and knowledge including those in CSS, PHP, Javascript, Flash, Photoshop, actionscript, Apache, SQL/MySQL, SEO techniques, accessibility issues...and others.

Please feel free to contact me if I can be of service.

Please also feel free to look at my creative page, link at the left or here:creative. There I have tried to present some of my creative work. Hope you enjoy this.

NiNNin......what is this? I used to visit a family in Italy years ago. I was quite popular with everyone there and I was called 'ninnin': which means bear cub! So there!
